February 2012

Aren't they just the cutest friends? He loves crawling all over her and she doesn't care one bit. She loves that boy. I can't blame her. He is pretty dang cute.

I'm not sure when he started this but every time we put him in his exer-saucer he just wants to kick his feet up and relax. I guess you could say that it's his mini recliner. He was just watching us clean the bedroom. How entertaining for a 9 month old.

One of the rare moments that he wanted to be held and how precious that his hands are folded over each other. I love it when he lets me hold him and we can just cuddle.

Elliott figured out that he could move the swing back and forth. He has been moving all over the place since he started standing up and moving around.

He really wanted to sit in the box that Grandma Hylton gave to him full of books. The box was more fun obviously.

Stephen thought that this picture looked like we had Elliott in a jail. But really we were just trying to keep him from going up the stairs. He learned that way too quickly that he could move up the stairs without anyone noticing. He is very sneaky, so mom and dad had to get some gates to keep him locked in. Elliott is a very smart boy and can figure his way out of any lock down.

I just can't say enough about this picture. What a cute smile?!?!

January 2012

That's right folks he likes Coke. I can't keep the south out of Utah

Elliott had just started to figure out that he could stand up and use things to balance himself. He loves to "cheese" for the camera. Those round apple cheeks are pretty dang cute.

I'm not sure why but he loves to watch the washing machine and dryer go round and round. I'm glad I have a boy who likes to help me do laundry. (Yes, Stephen loves to help do laundry too!)

Elliott loved playing with grandpa's bald head. He just kept smacking it really hard. Grandpa had to take his glasses off because Elliott kept pulling them off.

I'm awake! It's time to pay attention to me!

After Elliott's bath one day we wanted to spend sometime playing. I grabbed one of his books and started reading it to him. He wasn't really interested in me reading the book, he mostly wanted to eat it.

He looks so cute right after he has been greased down with his lotion. Stephen calls him his little grease monkey. Elliott is literally so slippery after getting all slicked up. His hair gets out of control. But it's pretty easy to style into a sweet Mohawk.

Posing for his daddy and talking up a storm.

Just like his daddy, loves guns and everything gun related. It was pretty cute watching the two of them watch Top Shot. I was trying to feed him and kept trying to turn and watch the tv and Stephen. It was pretty cute. But one day the two of them will get to go shot guns together. Maybe I will get to come.

Daddy needed to make dinner but he was more interested in watching the kitchen aid than anything. Stephen would turn on the kitchen aid and would watch the spinning thing go around.

We were playing one night after his feeding and changing and all he wanted to do was talk and talk. He finally smiled at me for the first time this night. It was very cute.

While I was at work Stephen took Elliott over to his parents and he needed to eat. He looks pretty comfortable to me. I can't believe he was able to keep that bottle in his mouth for so long. He wanted to make sure he didn't miss anything.

Sleeping the days away

Sometimes I can't help taking quick shots while he is asleep. He is so cute and little. I can't help but want to scoop him up and hold him in my arms.

Let's take a Trip....Mirror Lake here we come!

Stephen and I were getting kind of restless one weekend in August and we wanted to get out of the house with Elliott. We didn't want to go too far and I had never been to Mirror Lake, so we packed up the car and went up to the Lake. The weather was really nice and very enjoyable.

The lake at it's finest. It was so gorgeous up there. I wish we could go up every weekend.

Yes there is still snow in August. People were walking by and throwing snow at each other.

My big strong man. It was a pretty rough ride for Elliott around the lake but he slept the whole way around. Stephen finally took over pushing towards the end.

Elliott enjoying the ride. I can't believe he was ever this little. He enjoyed the weather as well.

Stephen really likes going up to the lake. I think next summer we will go up there with the canoe.

Bald Mountain. Can you believe that in June it was covered in snow and we were unable to make it to the lake because of 7 feet of snow. Crazy how much snow we get here.

Oh, Mom you silly lady

He loves wearing his hat that Nanny Alice and Papaw John bought down in Moab. He wears it all the time outside. Thanks Nanny and Papaw. We love the hat!

When he pulls your hair he pulls with as much force as he possibly can. So, anyone who is holding me and has long hair beware....he has learned to pull and pull hard he shall.

Elliott will never walk. I don't think I will put him down long enough for him to play on the floor. He is such a great cuddlier and so easy to play with. He never cries unless there is intent.

Playing with Daddy

What can I say about these boys. You got to love them. I think they played like this for about 30 minutes. This was about the time Elliott was really starting to smile and laugh.
We just couldn't get enough of it. I think Stephen is just glad to have a buddy around.

All I can think of when I see these pictures are what kind of mischief they are going to get into when he gets older. How many gray hairs will I get from their pranks?
We shall have to wait and see.
